In 2021, we purchased a building in our hometown of Jefferson and have converted it into a small office complex. So you can say that I took the leap and invested in myself

I caught the real estate bug as a teenager going out with my mother, who at the time was the tax assessor/appraiser for the local school district.

I have been in real estate for over 25 years. I have worked as a sales associate then sales manager for a small real estate firm before working as a Broker Associate for another firm.

I worked as a State Certified Real Estate Appraiser for almost 20 years, before retiring in December 2015.

I was an instructor of real estate courses for Panola Jr. College at the Jefferson, Texas campus.

I pride myself in getting to know my service area and the properties that I may have the opportunity to visit, and also what influences the current market area.

I am just as comfortable in my boots, as I am in my heels.

My husband and I have 20 acres and enjoy fishing and other outside activities.


We have four daughters and nine grandchildren and are avid baseball fans, following the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers.

Barb Milstead has been a licensed Realtor® since 2016. Prior to being in real estate she traveled the US training and showing horses and later owned and operated an oil and gas construction company that operated in North Dakota. She is also currently a licensed Realtor® in Montana and has many contacts all along the Rocky Mountain front. Barb specializes in Deep East Texas ranches for sale, horse properties, country homes with small and large acreage and homes in our rural communities . She is familiar with areas around Lufkin including Nacogdoches, Crockett, Huntsville, Corrigan, Centerville, Fairfield, Huntington, Palestine, Grapeland, Madisonville, Lake Livingston, and many other small towns. Outside of real estate, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons. They are members at Weches Baptist Church in Weches, TX. Chuck Kennedy was born, and grew up, in Crockett, Texas. After graduating from Crockett High School, he served in Viet Nam with United States Army Special Forces ("the Green Berets") and attended, and graduated from, the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He then worked in the oil and gas business for several years. In 1980, he returned to Crockett, and managed personal and family businesses, including farming and ranching interests, timberlands, and commercial property. During this time, he earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Tyler. With increasing activity in the energy business, he then returned to the drilling industry.

Now, Chuck is ready to put his experience and training to use to help you with your real estate needs, whether buying or selling, residential, rural, or commercial property.
